Stitch of Grace was inspired by a deconstructed ballet shoe. The emotive of this collection was a conceptual relationship between the garment and the wearer. The collection uses the same shapes and forms and fabrics found in a point shoe. Each garment was carefully constructed and and treated in a way which would resemble the ballet shoe after the dancer is no longer able to use it. The seams were left raw and the calico was used with the imprint from a phone book, the way the paper mache left it's mark on the inside of the shoe.
